What we collect

The website, product category and competitors you enter for a scan. Your name and email when you check out or create an account. Billing status from our payment processor. The report we generate for you. Aggregate site usage from Ahrefs and Cloudflare, plus Google Analytics 4 data if you accept it.

Why

To run your scan and deliver the report, manage your account and access to it, process payment, answer enquiries, improve the site, prevent abuse and keep reasonable business records.

Lawful bases

Contract, to deliver a paid sprint and give you access to it. Legitimate interests, for service improvement, security and business administration. Consent, where required for analytics. Legal obligation, where records must be kept.

Processors we use

We rely on service providers to run CompeteDesk: Cloudflare for hosting and aggregate site measurement, Stripe for payment, Clerk for accounts and sign-in, Resend for the report email, Ahrefs for web analytics without analytics cookies, and search and answer-engine data providers to run the scan itself. Google Analytics 4 only loads if you accept it.

We do not sell your data to advertising partners.

Retention

We keep your account, scan and billing records only as long as needed for the service, support, billing, legal records and reasonable business administration, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to use of your personal data, and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
